about
Eschatus is a musical piece inspired directly by the classic Sci-Fi visual artwork of the great Bruce Pennington. I found his book in a record store in San Francisco and the opening melody of the song immediately came to me.
Although I had a different idea in mind initially, the recording took on its own life in the studio and I followed the path- it ended up sounding like some of my favorite jazz fusion artists of the early 70's.
I performed all of the instruments myself except for the fantastic tenor sax of Henry Solomon which took the song to a new height..
Jen Rose's artwork fantastically reflects the truly twisted nature of the song...
Simply put, it's a nightmare piece about the end of the world. And yet, there is still a feeling of hope...
